A Spring of Joy

Brace yourself… here’s the breakfast table conversation from today.

Asher: Is my heart beating?
Me: Yes. You can feel it in your chest. (we felt his heartbeat and got this big ol’ grin)
Asher: Does everyone have a heart?
Me: Yes. That’s what helps keep us alive.
Asher: Does God have a heart?
Me: Well. Jesus had a heart, because He is a man.
Asher: But does God the Father have a heart? In Heaven.

( I didn’t get a chance to answer that one, because Micah chimed in.)

Micah: Can Daddy be with God?
Asher: God is always with us.
Micah: Is God at work with Daddy?
Asher: Yes, Micah. God is always with us.
Micah: Is Daddy in a meeting with God?
Asher: Daddy will be with God in heaven, but not for a long, long time when he dies.
Micah: Is Daddy gonna die?
Asher: When he is old.
Micah: Is Daddy old?
Asher: Yes. Daddy is very old. But he won’t die until he’s very very old.
