Admitted… again

Angie was fighting with her fever all weekend after being sent home Friday morning from the hospital. She was a wreck this morning when I left to drive up to Leesburg, unfortunately for good reason. The cancer center brought her back to check blood counts early this afternoon and they were very low; so they have decided to keep her for a while. She’s been admitted to the hospital again, this time it will probably be for more than one night. Apparently her white blood cell counts were around 10,000 when she was released Friday, today they are about 2800. Not so good.

If you think of us these next few days please pray for her… (well, anytime actually!) the oncology ward isn’t a very fun place to hang out for a few days. Being there also means lots more needle sticks, and those are getting increasingly painful as we go.

angie, i am praying and thinking of you all the time. specifically, i’m praying that your blood cell counts will go up quickly and that you will be able to come home very soon. i can’t take all this emotional stuff in my postpartum state! you have to get better soon. i love you! kelly

Dearest Brian, Angie and children,
I have shed many a tear over you… prayed often for you~ as I do now that God, who loves you and will never let you go, would take away the dreadful fear and pain of the menacing needles, cause your blood counts to be good, take away the fever and give you a peace you never believed possible and HEAL you. I wish I lived close to you so I could do something really tangible to help you as you walk this difficult dark road.

Dear Angie,

I am really sorry for your troubles of late! Only the Lord knows! I am praying for you and sure do hope that this will not last long. You have been through so much. I am thankful you have your sweet loving husband, your parents closeby, & even brother & his family. Lots to be thankful for! We will keep you in our prayers in the coming days and hope we will hear that you are able to come home from the hospital very soon!
