‘Hope’ is the thing with feathers,
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tunes without the words,
And never stops at all.
~Emily Dickenson
Glimpses of our world…
‘Hope’ is the thing with feathers,
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tunes without the words,
And never stops at all.
~Emily Dickenson
Ooooh, that is pretty! I like that a lot!

I reply to your quote with a quote from C.S. Lewis:
“Gratitude looks to the past and love to the present: fear, avarice,
lust and ambition look ahead”
With the New Year, I think we have a tendency to look forward and yes, HOPE for good things: health, happiness, etc. But at the same time, I think we spend too much time looking into the future and not enough time in the present. Can we both have hope for the future while still living day to day in the present? I hope so.
